Mission of the Month

St. John's Daycare
St. John's Daycare has been the mission oof St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church for over 12 years. We have 16 staff and when full 62 children. We have provided a haven for kids getting off and on the local school bus as well as the kids walking to school. We are located at the end of a lengthy line of classrooms and cannot see the front door. We open at 6 am so the One staff member we have at that time does not see who is coming in and the same after 4:30 when the front offices close. This poses a dangerous situation for everyone. With the times now, we must be able to screen people coming in the door.
We are experiencing people sneaking inn the building and hiding for the night and people randomly walking into the daycare classes asking questions about the children. We not only have COVID to deal with but now we have homeless people and others wanting to roam the building. This is the reason for the Keyless Lock to be installed.
The program will be conducted under the close supervision of the Church Property Board, The Daycare Committee, The Pastor and the Directors of the daycare. All monies will be accounted for with receipts and report.

St. Johns Daycare is located in Peru, Indiana.
