The Indiana District LWML will issue a limited number of $500.00
scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year to young men and women
preparing for full-time church work in the LC-MS (pastor, teacher, DCE,
deaconess, etc.) To qualify, a student must be a communicant member of a
congregation in the LC-MS in the Indiana District for at least 18
months. He/she must attend an LC-MS synodical school with approved
enrollment.
Scholarships are issued for a period of one year. A new application
must be made each year. Obtain applications by contacting the
Scholarship Chairman (address below) or by downloading a copy of the
Scholarship Application Letter and the
Scholarship Application Form from the website.. Completed
application forms must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2012.

2011-2012 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTSWe
are happy to report that eleven scholarship applicants were given
scholarships this year. Scholarship Recipients are as follows:
Helen Hartman Scholarship Recipients are:
Amy Powell a junior from Zion in
Decatur is preparing to become a teacher at Concordia University
Chicago.
Kristen Zilz is from Holy Cross
in Fort Wayne. She will be a senior at Concordia University Chicago and
is preparing to become a teacher.
Other Scholarship Recipients include:
Andrew Keller from St. Paul
Wegan near Brownstown will be a freshman at Concordia University Chicago
and is studying to be a pastor.
Michael Keller from St. Paul
Wegan near Brownstown will be a junior at Concordia University Chicago
and is studying to be a teacher.
Katrina Kozisek from Emmanuel in
Seymour will be a freshman at Concordia University Chicago and will
become a teacher.
Rachel Powell a senior from Zion
in Decatur is preparing to become a deaconess at Concordia University
Chicago.
Steven Shank from Messiah in
Indianapolis is a third year student at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis
and is preparing to become a pastor.
Emily Spelde from Calvary,
Indianapolis is enrolled at Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne as a second
year student in the deaconess program.
Ethan Spira will be a sophomore
at Concordia University Wisconsin and is from Peace Lutheran in Fort
Wayne. He also is preparing to become a pastor.
Jason Taber from Holy Cross,
Indianapolis will be entering Concordia Seminary in St. Louis as a first
year student.
Jennifer Tinkey is from St.
Paul’s in Bremen and attends Concordia University Chicago. She will be
a junior and is preparing to become a teacher.
