![]() What is a YWR? A Young Woman Representative is a woman who is 22 to 35 years old, with a deep love and devotion for her Lord Jesus Christ. She has been chosen by her district to participate in all activities at the LWML national convention. What does a YWR have to do? YWRs submit their applications to show their desire to be a YWR. If chosen, the YWR attends the convention and then returns to tell about her experience. What about after that? You may be asked to speak about your experience after the convention, but really we hope that you will continue to be involved with LWML in your society and zone. How many YWRs are chosen? For the national convention, there are two women selected from the Indiana district, one from the North and one from the South. How are the YWRs chosen? The applications will be reviewed by the YWR committee and the district president. Other factors are listed on the LWML website, www.lwml.org on the link marked "young women." When and where is the national convention? The national convention will be held June 23 to 26, 2011 in Peoria, Illinois. How would I pay for that? The Indiana district LWML will cover your travel expenses, as well as your registration fee, and meal expenses. How can I or my friend apply? Simply complete the application and attach it in an email to bpeconge@hotmail.com or mail to Becky Linnemeier, 18716 Amstutz Road, Auburn, IN 46706. When is the deadline? January 7, 2011.
