What is a YWR? A blessing, a joy, a delight…..oh, and A YWR is a representative from the youngest and smallest segment of the LWML. In an attempt to encourage younger women to participate and enjoy conventions and the fellowship at LWML, the organization has instituted the YWR program. YWRs are 25 - 35 years old.

What does a YWR have to do? YWRs submit their applications to show their desire to be a YWR. If chosen, the YWR attends the convention and then returns to tell about her experience.

What about after that? We pray that you're hooked, and you'll be interested in being more involved in LWML on any level.

How many YWRs are chosen? For the district convention, each zone sends one YWR.

How are the YWRs chosen? Your zone may have many qualified applicants, so it may be a very difficult decision. Based on applications, your zone board members will choose a YWR by her interest and zeal for LWML. Other factors are listed on the LWML website, www.lwml.org on the link marked "young women."

When and where is the convention? June 25 – 27, 2010, Sheraton Hotel, Indianapolis, Indiana.

How would I pay for that? Your zone pays for housing, meals, and transportation. The District pays your registration.  You only cost may be out-of-pocket expenses.

How can I or my friend apply? Simply complete the application in this mailing or online at www.lwmlindiana.org.  Give the application to your society president who will then send it to the zone president.

When is the deadline?  April 1, 2010.

Ready to give it a shot? Go for it!
